South Africa is a very young democracy and is slowly finding its place in the global economy.Transformation of the country’s economy and society at large continue to form the focus of corporate and government strategy. The country has one of the most economically unequal societies in the world but this has created a hotbed for innovation and creativity. From a business perspective, the country is widely regarded as the gateway southern Africa and a market of around 850 million people.
The South Africa program offers participants an ideal learning environment on transformation and leadership. A typical program will explore the challenges and opportunities of doing business in the country with an emphasis on how the private sector is driving an agenda for social and economic development. We incorporate talks with powerful transformational leaders and presentations on topics such as the impact of the Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) and its effect on economic transformation, innovative management of HIV/AIDS in the workplace, business process outsourcing as key driver of economic and social development, grassroots entrepreneurship and township business. At the end of the program, participants will have a better understanding of the leadership skills required to achieve transformation in a very challenging environment.
